Easter Monday,
The morning was beautiful but later on in the evening turned to be ugly. No one was outside, it was weird to see the streets so empty, no cars, open shops or people in the streets. It went from sunny morning to cloudy afternoon instantly.
We went out the morning to go to the mall, google said it was open OK.Don’t judge me. It was a good workout, I walked to the mall in heels, because, fashion over comfort in France.
I wanted Mcdonalds because I wanted a burger. Actually no, mostly I wanted comfort food. McDo( the french way to say Micky D’s) in France taste exactly the same as in The US. But Mr picky doesn’t like McDo, so he took me to a place called Bougnet burger here in Clermont-Ferrand. Everything in the shop is 100% bio, or organic. Organic produce is called bio, which stands for biological.
It was empty when we got there but as time went by more people came in. The burger was ok, I fell in love with one in Avignon, France, it contained a truffle sauce and foie gras(I usually cannot eat it, but in that burger it was good). This one was ok ,it was dry but the bun was super delicious, Oh! It was the first time I ever ate a burger with a knife and fork(super sophisticated), only because it was too big. Anyways, I finished everything and then got coffee, but not the normal coffee. It was Le cafe gourmand, a cute platter with 5 different desserts. (and coffee of course)
Heading back, I could not handle the heels, I was in terrible pain sooo I did the most fashionable thing and took them off, walking in socks through streets and through a park. Yeah, I don’t believe in that phrase “ beauty hurts.” Screw that crap.My toes were becoming deformed due to the compression of the point if the heel, it is too narrow. We (Boris and I) walked around the park in my unfashionable state, for around 20mins then headed back.
On the way back, I was on a mission to avoid dog poop and not bleed out from the pebbles that stabbed my foot. We arrived and the mission was a success.
